Wrinkles of the City

The human race is beautiful. Each person has a story no matter how small they may believe it is. These artists, JR & José Parlá, captured each persons story with a piece of art and made each person seem important. The emotion poured out in each piece and by far my favorite part of this short film were the clips of those photographed seeing their face upon a wall in their community.

There is something so beautiful about a simple life. Although there are rundown buildings, roads, cars and even people that’s what makes the location so interesting and amazing to me. I can’t imagine being able to speak to those people and simply wander around and get a glimpse of how it is living in Havana, Cuba. Learning about the history and people of a certain location, rather than just traveling is something I’ve found is the most impactful thing you can do if you are able to travel outside of your backyard.maxresdefault.jpg
